What people are saying about ozone treatment

It doesn't seem like there's financial incentive for dentists to change over to ozone - yet if they do the maths, it is obvious - happy patients return to buy more dental work. Like in my father's case to pull the tooth and then have an implant would have cost ~$4,000usd and the Biomimetic approach that my dentist Dr Wendall in Utah used cost ~$2,700usd. Even adding cost of travel/hotel it was cheaper to go to Utah. My parents loved Dr. Wendall in Utah and they would return to see him. I only wish more people would educate themselves on new developments in dentistry. Definitely takes more work for a patient to research but in end it's worth it.

Your site helped tremendously by the way!

Because I couldn’t find any LA ozone dentists, in March I took my 5yo daughter to see Dr Jaques Doueck in Brooklyn while we were visiting NYC. She had a cavity that her dentist in LA wanted to drill & fill while under gas. She had had 7 fillings & 1 baby root canal/cap under local anesthesia in Aug 08 and I didn't want any more of that type of treatment for her. The experience was horrifying! I was in quest of better methods and that's what led me to the yahoo gp that Dr. Keith Hollander is a member. There I found out about ozone, etc. Dr. Doueck used waterlase, ozone & filler in a matter of minutes to fix the filling and my daughter experienced no pain. Added bonus was it was cheaper than what the conventional filling the dentist in LA wanted to charge.

I've called a couple of dental offices in LA several times throughout this year and they are not using ozone yet. I accompanied my father to see Dr. S and he didn't even mention ozone as part of his protocol. Both dentists say they have the machine but are not using them. I think that your list should clarify those dentists that only have the machine vs. those that are really utilizing it in their practice. Dr. S wanted to pull the tooth & do an implant cause of potential repeated infections that would occur if the tooth remained in tact. Would cost over $4k. No ozone was even mentioned during the exam. My father ended up flying to Utah this month to see Dr Wendell Robertson (fabulous dentist!) who ended up saving his cracked #4 tooth & another already capped tooth w/infection at the root using surgery & ozone with root canal & biomimetic cap. It cost much less than an implant would have.

Editors Comment - The dentist listing have been changed slightly, so the lists show dentists who have gone through the Accrediation and Continuum Level 1 Course, and those who may have ozone in their practice, but who have not taken either course.
If patients find a practice on these pages where they are not offered ozone as part of their treatment, let me know and I will ask the question 'Why not?". If you contact these practices, and you do not get offered ozone, then that practice will be removed from the lists.
